Anime Puzzle Quest: The Magical Girls Adventure

Anime Puzzle Quest is not related to Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns, which is awesome. It is a remaster of a 2007 puzzle game by D3. It was the first real match 3 battler. It is so great, I’ve been playing it all afternoon. This is related to Anime Beauty Girl Puzzle, meaning its a crappy cash grab with AI-generated images. You have three modes: Puzzle, Logic and Mosaic. Puzzle Mode is a bare bones jigsaw mode. Logic is where you are given a puzzle piece and you place it correctly. Mosaic is the “swap tiles to form the correct image mode.” The images are all AI generated, as usual. But the quality control is lacking in Anime Puzzle Quest. Look at the featured image, notice one of the girls is deformed.

. Anime Puzzle Quest is functional, but we’ve seen identical games with identical modes with AI generated images. In addition, there is no quest here. However, the blurb tries to trick you into thinking there is.

Embark on a heartwarming journey with a group of magical girls in Anime Puzzle Quest: The Magical Girls Adventure. In this enchanting game, you’ll explore a beautifully crafted world where friendship, love and bravery lead the way. Solve engaging puzzles and uncover the secrets of a mystical realm, all while building deep connections with your companions.

There’s none of that in Anime Puzzle Quest, there’s no story here. No friendship. No love. No Bravery. You don’t build a deep connection with your companions. This is not an RPG. It’s all a lie to get you to buy the game. But there is a whole lot of DLC you can buy, taking a page from Ecchi Memories. In fact, I’d wager there is more game for sale as DLC than there is in the base game. It really is shameful! Anime Puzzle Quest gets a Garbage with a one back-end score. Why wouldn’t it? It sucks.

Overall: Anime Puzzle Quest is not Puzzle Quest, its crap we’ve seen a hundred times before with AI generated images and predatory DLC.

Verdict: Garbage
