Bubble Shoot Farm Switch Game Review

Bubble Shoot Farm is a very good scam game, sort of. In actuality, I’m not really sure how to classify this. This is a competent, though unspectacular “Bust-A-Move” clone. It has its quirks, like instead of the play field moving down, you simply have a bubble limit and time limit. But hey, it works. But that’s not really what I am to focus on. I want to focus of RuWaMo Games releasing two other similar games around the same time: Princess Bubble Story, and Bubble Puzzler. The latter is very, very, similar to BSFarm, almost too similar. Left is BSFarm, Right is Bubble Puzzler.

As you can see, Bubble Shoot Farm and Bubble Puzzler use the same UI, same style animal characters, and very similar bubbles. Its uncanny. Fortunately, the E-Shop descriptions are fairly different, with BP’s consisting of nothing but:

A great classic bubble shooting game!

The Bubble Shoot Farm E-Shop description is several paragraphs long. But still they are essentially the same game with cosmetic tweaks.

Anyways, This is not the only time Ruwamo have done this. Remember when I reviewed Fashion Girls? Nobody does. However, I didn’t realize it at the time, but they released two other near identical games in a similar vein: Fashion Princess and Fashion Friends. They are all Qix Clones with a fashion theme. RuWaMo’s tactics are even more blatant here! To save money, and maximize sales, they’re copy and pasting three games with only cosmetic variations. I bet they all share most of the same source code! Its ingenious really. So where does that leave Bubble Shoot Farm?

Well, it leaves it with a YMMV. Its a game that is completely playable and you will have fun with it if you like these kind of games. But Bubble Shoot Farm is a clone, you can buy bubble puzzler, at the same exact price, and have the exact same fun. So whether or not you want to play this is entirely up to you.

Overall: Bubble Shoot Farm is not really a scam, but something is definitely fishy with Ruwamo games’ tactics.
