Deep Space: Action Fire Sci-Fi Game 2023 Shooter Strike Simulator Alien Death Ultimate Games is brought to you by a regular purveyor of crap, Midnight Works. I have to give credit where credit is due. They try here to make something compelling, though this being Midnight Works, they fail. Let’s start with the obvious: they tried to make a Dead Space clone. As a man who absolutely loves Dead Space, I can tell you that this is not in the same universe as the horror masterpiece that is the Dead Space remake. But that’s not going to stop them from trying to trick you:

They want you to believe this game is Dead Space-like, but it’s not, really. Now, for the gameplay. Deep Space takes place on a space station. You wake up from a stasis pod:

And you open a nearby cabinet to take the tablet. After that, you bumble around corridors, ferried from objective to objective. While there are many doors, you can only open them when the game wants you to. You spend a good while downloading codes from a computer, restoring your health, getting a weapon, and doing a lot of fixing:

Then you enter the station warehouse, get ammo, and die to worms:

I exhausted my ammo trying to shoot them.

You see, your first enemies in Deep Space are dark worms on a dark floor, and they can clip through the ground, making them very hard to kill. It was at this point I decided to quit and write this review. The game ultimately isn’t very good, but Midnight works was trying with this. The station is large, and there are some neat effects like this broken hologram:

There seems to be some story to Deep Space, and there is a logical progression to things. It’s actually quite interesting how much work went into this. However, that does not make a compelling game worth your time and money. This is not Midnight Runner, which was decent. But this isn’t garbage either. It’s just a cheap Dead Space knockoff that fails to hold a candle to that classic.

Overall: Deep Space is not Dead Space, although it wants to be and fails. Not without merit, but not worth your time.

Verdict: Not Recommended
