That logo to Sweet Sugar Candy, it seems familiar, as if I’ve seen it somewhere before…

Oh right, its a ripoff of Candy Crush Saga’s logo. Which is par for the course of Sweet Sugar Candy. For those living under a rock, Candy Crush Saga is a billion dollar mobile game and one of the most influential games of the last decade. It made so much money Activision bought out King.com(I know, I used to be a subscriber to King back in the day). They say success breeds imitation, well Sweet Sugar Candy is a downright ripoff. I mean its practically the same game.

The packets are there, the multicolored candy are there, the limited moves and power-ups are there. There’s even a similar map:

Sure everything looks different, but under the hood its the same game, right down to the “Tasty” and “Sweet” for a mega combo.
Whats even more interesting, is that this started out of life as a free to play game, but somewhere along the line, it went paid, as there is a daily spin wheel, even a free coin shop:

So I’ve been talking about about how Sweet Sugar Candy rips of Candy Crush Saga, but how is the game itself? Addicting, just like Candy Crush Saga is. It can also be just as hard. I guess that’s a good thing. Here, you get the Candy Crush experience without shelling out hundreds on power-ups.
Overall: Sweet Sugar Candy is a Candy Crush Saga Ripoff, and as a result, is just as challenging and addicting.
Verdict: Recommended(Bet you didn’t see this coming).
