In Wall of Insanity, you are Cobalt SWAT team member called to an abandoned house where another SWAT team disappeared. You find out what happened to the other SWAT team, they were murdered by creatures from another dimension, the same two creatures, over and over again.

Wall Of Insanity
Spooky!

Wall of Insanity is a seven dollar survival horror action game that really should have been a lot more. Apparently, you go into another dimension of terror. Good luck caring enough to get there as it is boring. You walk down samey corridors and rooms, fighting the same two enemies, finding keys and lock picks to proceed.

Wall Of Insanity
zzz…

Ammo is relatively scarce, health pickups are relatively scarce. Your inventory is very limited. The game could have been really tense, but it wasn’t tense, it was boring due to how samey everything was and the near lack of in-game storytelling. Plus there’s this:

Wall Of Insanity
Jump over to your doom!

Wall of Insanity wants you to jump out a barred window to your doom. I checked everywhere, but could find no other way to proceed. I could keep checking, but again, I really didn’t care enough. It’s a seven dollar game, you get what you pay for. I’d have given it an YMMV, but considering how low profile this game is, I bet a lot of people didn’t care either.

Overall: Wall of Insanity is a wall of indifference. It might have been critically acclaimed on mobile, but on Switch it does not measure up.

Verdict: Not Recommended
