Cubic Figures is a minimalist puzzle game. By minimalist, they mean no frills. There are no bells and whistles. It’s just you, some ambient music, and the puzzles on black background. However, this is the type of game that does not really need bells and whistles to be any good.

In Cubic Figures You are fitting shapes in to an outline of a figure. The pieces very likely will have to be rotated to fit the outline. There are 150 puzzles, which is quite a lot for a cheap puzzle game like this. They range from easy to very hard, but the difficulty ramps up quickly. Tip: Not all pieces will be revealed at once, others will appear when you pick up other pieces. My suggestion is to get all pieces out on the screen at once.

There’s not much more to say about Cubic Figures really. It is what it is, and what it does it does well. Can’t fault it for that.
Overall: Cubic Figures is a good puzzle game at heart, despite lacking frills.
Verdict: Recommended
P.S. Try its sequel Cubic Figures 2!
