Island Cities is a 3D jigsaw puzzle game where cities on islands get mixed up and you have to put the city tiles in the correct places. Fortunately, you can always see the original position via the B button, or the portrait symbol if playing by touch screen. You can rotate the islands as well, which is helpful because isometric view will hide tiles behind buildings. When you correctly place a tile, it locks in place and golden sparkles engulf it. For identical tiles, it doesn’t matter which particular tile goes into the correct spot.

Island Cities is a good casual puzzle game. A lot of care has gone into this. Case in point: as you fill in more parts of the map, cars start driving and people start walking around. The game isn’t overly difficult, but I do not think it was meant to be difficult. It’s just a relaxing casual puzzle experience. If you like this kind of game, you’ll love this game. It really is well done, as I don’t particularly have anything bad to say about it. The game is totally recommended.
Overall: Island Cities is a nice, relaxing casual puzzle game that doesn’t ask too much by design but is very likable.
Verdict: Recommended
