Hentai RPG Isekai Journey Switch Game Review

Warning: There are no tits in Hentai RPG but I’m labeling this NSFW anyway!

so last night Geoff Knightly revealed the nominees for “Best Hentai Puzzle Game on Switch eShop” at the 2023 Game Awards. The article is, of course, satire, but I have had the luxury of reviewing four out of the six nominees, including Hentai Japanese Goblins and Hentai Uni 2. Now I’m reviewing a fifth, Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey. It is slightly better than the others, because there is an actual game here, but that really isn’t saying much as the game is shallow and there are no tits The sixth game, Hentai Project, is essentially Hentai Girls. without the bare boobs. Anyway, Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey starts out as you are a generic guy who wants to watch hentai online, then goes out to eat. You get struck by lightning and zapped into an anime world:

Then you get zapped to Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey’s main screen, where you can shop for upgrades and items, and fight one of three ladies: a princess with a large sword, an Amazon, and a fire witch. Each lovely lady has three levels to fight her via Match 3. If you win, you get various pics of her in her underwear in increasingly risque poses, but no nudity! I defeated 2 of the ladies, but didn’t care to go for the 3rd, there was no real point to do so. Maybe an ending cut-scene but that’s it. Oh and if you lose a fight, you have start over, but have all your upgrades.

I would be wrong of me to not discuss the game play in Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey, so I will. If you’ve played Puzzle Quest or any number of games, you know what your getting. Match gems to deal damage. Match 4 or five to get mana gems, which damage the lady, heals you and gives you mana for one of three spells: tile rearrange, damage, and healing. Each lady, when she deals damage, will lay special tiles down. The princess will lay standard blocking tiles. The Amazon will lay titles that block, but move downwards and cannot be removed via matches. On the left are three items you can buy, meat that heals, a mushroom that removes special titles, and a skull that revives you if you die.

Hentai RPG is a Game Award Winner!

If “Best Hentai Puzzle Game on Switch eShop” was a thing, Hentai RPG: Iseki Journey would be the winner, if for nothing less than there is an actual game here. It’s just easy and shallow and really not worth anyone’s time. There’s no nudity, so honestly, what is the point? Play a boring match three game to see basic drawings of anime girls in provocative poses? No. Sorry. There are a thousand better match 3 games on the Switch. Hard Drive, the writers of the satire article, did not play Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey, or any of the others. But why should they? They all suck. Just this game sucks slightly less than the others, but that’s nothing to write home about. Its the most polished turd in a sewer.

Overall: Hentai RPG: Isekai Journey is the best hentai puzzle game on the Switch with the word hentai in it. Not saying much.

Verdict: Garbage
