Dolmenjord Viking Islands Switch Game Review

This Dolemenjord – Viking Islands review will have next to no views. I’ve been doing this long enough to know that almost nobody will read this, just like almost nobody read my Molecano review. I could fill this review with an unrelated extremely offensive rant and absolutely nobody would care. I’ve complained about this problem before, but in over three hundred reviews, I forgot exactly where. Heck, I’ve probably done it multiple times by now. But I need to do my due diligence and review this logic puzzle game as I would any other. So Let us begin our DolmenJord review!

Dolmenjord - Viking Islands Blank Island

Dolmenjord – Viking Islands is about fitting Viking houses and walkways on a small island, as you can see above. There are a couple of rules. All pieces must fit. All houses much face the walkways. The walkways must connect together and connect to the port. Things start small and easy and get complicated quickly, with odd pieces and gargantuan Viking houses. If you get stuck, you can always go in settings and enable casual mode. In that mode, by pressing Y, you can bring up where the walkways tiles go, but not which ones specifically. It makes things easier, but not that much easier. I got stuck on a puzzle where I couldn’t figure out which walkway pieces went where.

Something has gone wrong here!

In essence, DolemenJork – Viking Islands is a “fit the objects into an other object” game ala Cubic Figures or Save Room. But this is a very good one with a nice twist and aesthetic. It is nothing fancy, but decently long with sixty puzzles that get really hard. This will get a Recommended verdict with an eight back end score.

Overall: Dolemenjord – Viking Islands is a simple object-fitting game that should satisfy fans of these games.

Verdict: Recommended
