In Ultionus Space heroine Serena S saves the day. She posts about it on Spacebook and some guy trolls her with a sexist comment:

So she decides she’s going to humiliate him for that awful comment. So she goes to his planet and proceeds through seven levels of action to do so. Honestly, this story might have been cool and clever and back in 2013 when it originally was released, nearly a decade later, we’ve been awash in so many “strong, empowered women fighting the patriarchy” stories, it’s extremely cliche. I honestly can’t tell if its a parody of it or not. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, its still a cliche.

I can let story pass if the game itself is any good, and its ok, i guess. Its based on computers games of the late 80s early 90s. You walk through small, but intricate stages shooting enemies, then fight a boss. The third level has you riding on a dinosaur shooting enemies.

In the end, I wasn’t particularly impressed really. It’s there, if you like these sort of games. You can get an hour of fun out of it if you do.
Overall: Ultionus has a cliche story and ho-hum game play. Its just kind of there.
Verdict: YMMV
