MeowMatch is cats. It is the merging of cats. Two become one, who merges with the like to become another. Slide up, down, left, right. Up, down, left, right to merge. Over and over. Very little skill. Can’t lose. Keep going. Score goes higher and higher. Eventually the game ends when the board is filled. Then press A and the game begins again. Up, down left right! No purpose other than the merging of cats. Meowmatch is cats…

MeowMatch

I’ll level with you, I didn’t get any sleep prior to writing this review, so I am delirious. That explains the last paragraph of this MeowMatch review. I tried to be avant-garde, but failed miserably. But how else am I supposed to run up the word count to three hundred words for SEO purposes? There’s nothing much to say about this other than it has the same game play as 2048 Strike, except that game had a purpose and an actual game there. Plus It had boobies! This is just the sliding of cats to form new cats and run up the high score. That’s it. There’s nothing else to say about it.

As an aside, if long time readers wonder why I often pontificate about nothing in the first paragraph, then never return to that topic, its to run up the word count. I wish Google didn’t care about stuff like that, but they do, so I must pontificate about pontificating in the final paragraph to slide this is into SEO range. And that’s the achilles heel of reviewing these games. What do you say about nearly identical games with nearly identical game play. I guarantee MeowMatch isn’t the only game of this simplicity on the eShop, but I haven’t found it yet. And if I do, I probably won’t review it, because there is nothing more to say.

Overall: Meow Match is about the sliding of cats to form new cats. Not really all that interesting.

Verdict: YMMV
