I expect developers to not translate their game if its crap like Inquiry for Justice, but not a game like Toilet Shooting Star, a game which seems works has gone into it, even possibly being alright. This is a novelty game where you race on toilets by crapping in them. If enough crap builds up and don’t use it to boost, you shoot into outer space and die. You think I am joking? Sorry, I’m not.

So in Toilet Shooting Star, there are lots of mechanics, and even a story of sort, but since its all in Japanese, I don’t understand any of it. I had to use Google Lens to translate the controls. For what I can tell, you move around a track eating, building up crap to boost and throw toilet paper at rival racers. There are other power ups or power downs, like an interestingly placed plunger: This essentially plays like Mario Kart on toilets.

The game is pretty easy from what I played. Still, the mechanics seem deep, such as an upgrade store. But again, its all in Japanese, so I didn’t bother with them much. It’s sad really, if they bothered to translate this game, I think Toilet Shooter Star could have been a serious sleeper hit. Since they didn’t, this will be promptly forgotten and fall into the slush pile. I cannot recommend the game at present, unless they bother to translate it. Disappointing.

Overall: Toilet Shooting Star has a funny premise of racing around on toilets, but the lack of translation sinks any chance of it catching on over here.

Verdict: Not Recommended
