Jigsaw Ice Princess Switch Game Review

I’ve seen a lot of ripoff in my time. Terry Bogard art in Beat Them Up, Goblin Slayer women in Hentai Japanese Goblins, and now we have Jigsaw Ice Princess. It is a ripoff of Frozen, a movie that came out a decade ago. There was a sequel that less people cared about in 2019. Although Frozen 3 was just confirmed, its years off from release. So I’m scratching my head as to who this is for. Jigsaw Ice Princess is obviously for little girls, but Frozen isn’t anyone’s radar, nor does it have have the license. And let’s not forget, Frozen 3 is a cash grab from a dying Disney, but that’s another story.

So as you can see Jigsaw Ice Princess is a fairly simple jigsaw game of 45 images, all AI generated. The image is faintly shown, and you match the pieces to the image. You don’t have to be exact, just get close the pieces snap into place. There’s a time limit but it won’t be a problem to all but the littlest kids. Honestly, this is inoffensive and I spent more time on this than I should have given it(20 minutes instead of 5). But that’s not the issue, the issue is that Jigsaw Ice Princess is a bare=bones cash grab piggy backing off Frozen, a dormant IP.

When the Switch started life, the quality of the indie games were good. There was trash here or there, but overall, for the first few years, there wasn’t the bottom-barrel garbage there is now. But at the some point, something at Nintendo changed. The shit started to flow, and flow hard. And here we are with Jigsaw Ice Princess. Will anyone do anything about crap like this? No, no they won’t. Disney won’t do anything, they probably don’t know it exists. Even if they do, they probably can’t do much legally. Nintendo won’t do anything, they make money of crap like this. Why should they care?

I used to call Switch the “Indie game machine,” not its the “Scam game machine.” I’d prefer a crackdown to prevent stuff like Jigsaw Ice Princess. However know its not coming, not matter how much the e-shop becomes cluttered with garbage.

Overall: Jigsaw Ice Princess is both a total scam, and an inoffensive kids game at the same time.

Verdict: Garbage(because the developers shouldn’t get your money).
